Archives of Ontario Pickering Township Oral History Project interviews (RG 17-44)

Series consists of 14 interviews recorded on audio tapes as part of a "history preservation project" to document the history and culture of the North Pickering community prior to the development of the proposed North Pickering Airport and Community Development sites. The interviewees were long-time residents of North Pickering and the surrounding area who shared their reminiscences and recollections of the area's history. The interviews were conducted by Stan Whistan and Dave Nasby, students from the University of Guelph. The interviews are arranged in alphabetical order by surname of the interviewee. No interview transcripts are available; however, interview summaries are available through the Sound and Moving Images Archivist.
